Jobstreet — Rethinking the “My Activities” Page
Help job seekers track and manage their applications more effectively.
Background

Jobstreet’s “My Activities” feature is meant to give users visibility into the jobs they’ve applied for. Currently, the page lists applications in chronological order and provides only basic filters (by application date, company name A–Z, and job title A–Z).

However, the experience is limited:

  • Users must scroll through applications one by one to find a specific company or role.

  • There’s no search function to quickly locate a past application.

  • Filters are limited and don’t allow users to sort or group by application status (e.g., “Interview Scheduled,” “Rejected,” “In Progress”).

  • As a result, job seekers feel frustrated and disorganized, especially when actively applying to many positions.

Context

For many candidates, “My Activities” is the control center for their job hunt. Without proper tools to search, filter, and track, the feature fails to support them at their most critical stage: managing and following up on opportunities.

Business Objective

Improve user retention and satisfaction by making “My Activities” a true job-seeking dashboard — helping users stay organized, track progress, and feel in control of their application journey.

Target User
  • Active job seekers applying to multiple positions simultaneously.

  • Users who may have dozens of applications and need to keep track of statuses.

  • Professionals who want to stay updated quickly without scrolling endlessly.

Core Problem

How might we improve the ‘My Activities’ feature so users can quickly search, filter, and track the progress of their job applications without confusion or wasted effort?

Challenge

Redesign the “My Activities” page to:

  • Support search by job title or company name.

  • Enable filtering or grouping by application status (e.g., All, In Review, Interview, Rejected, Offer).

  • Provide a clearer visual hierarchy of applications, making status updates easier to scan.

  • Ensure the page scales well for users with many applications.

Constraints
  • Mobile-first design (Jobstreet is heavily used on mobile).

  • Must remain lightweight — avoid turning it into an overwhelming dashboard.

  • Keep the experience familiar but significantly more usable.

  • Should integrate seamlessly with Jobstreet’s brand identity (clean, professional, approachable).
